OCCUPANTS VIKANE FUMIGATION
PREPARATION NOTICE
Structural fumigants are colorless,
odorless and do not affect paints, finishes or fabrics. Dishes
and utensils can be used without washing. By Federal law and
as indicated by the label, the following items must be removed
before fumigation with any fumigant.
The following procedures must be performed
for a structural fumigation:
1. Remove the TV antenna and place
away from the structure to prevent damage.
2. Remove all food.
3. Remove all medicines, undeveloped
films, plants, pets, plastic covered mattresses, including
but not limited to those mattresses in baby cribs.
4. Zap Termite & Pest Control
will arrange to interrupt the gas service. Owner is to arrange
the gas reconnection and relighting pilot lights.
5. Trim any shrubbery back that is
touching the house. Zap Termite & Pest Control will
attempt to seal the tarp behind the shrubbery to prevent
damage; however, we will not accept responsibility for damage
that may occur.
6. The day PRIOR to the fumigation,
water the ground around the structure very heavily. Pay
particular attention to plants that are adjacent to the
structure.
7. Owner to remove attached fences
away from structure. Six-inch clearance will be needed between
fences and structure. Owner to re-install after completion
of fumigation.

1. Remove items below kitchen sink
and vanities.
2. Locate attic access and make accessible
for 5' ladder.
3. Remove storage from base of garage
walls.
4. Check for access to underneath
of home. If access is inside it must be accessible at time
of inspection.
5. Check around outside walls of
home for storage, firewood or other items making portions
of exterior inaccessible.
OWNERS PREPARATION FOR A RESIDENTIAL TERMITE INSPECTION

not water tested without visible water stains & written
release. If no stains are visible there is no further recommendation.

please give information on remaining guarantee and vendor
doing repairs.
3. Be sure water & electricity
are on at time of inspection.
STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
1. If structural repairs are being
performed by other tradesmen, interim inspections are required.
Please make arrangements in advance. A guarantee should
be obtained on repairs from company making the repairs.
INSPECTION TIME
1. The time will vary from one to
three hours based on the age, size & condition of home
being inspected.
PEST CONTROL INTERIOR PREPARATION
1. Remove all items from the kitchen
cabinets. This includes all food items, pots, pans, utensils,
etc. Anything that is stored in the cabinet should be removed.
(This pertains if infestation is found in food storage area.)
2. Remove all items from the counter top.
A good place to place these items is on the table or in
the middle of a linoleum/tile floor in another room.
3. Place some type of protective covering
over the items that have been removed from the areas. This
covering can include blankets, sheets, towels and plastic.
4. Remove all items from the bathroom cabinets.
Protect these items the same way as the kitchen products
by covering.
5. Cover fish tanks with plastic or cloth
and disconnect or unplug the air supply. All other pets
should be removed from the home during the treatment.
6. Other areas of the home need to be treated
as well. This means that you should look for items that
need to be removed to allow us access to the hiding places
that the general pest live in, the cracks and crevices.
7. Vacuum the carpeted areas prior to our
arrival.
8. Remove all toys or clothing from the
floor area.
9. Check the home for all things
that might go into the mouth, contact food, or come into
direct contact with food. These type items should be covered
for protection.
10. Plan on being out of the home four hours
after the treatment. Be sure to open the windows and air
the home when you return after the treatment.
Zap Termite & Pest Control MUST
have a key to the structure. The utmost care will be taken
during fumigations to avoid any possible roof or plant damage.
However, in the case of brittle wood shingles or tile, there
is always the possibility of some breakage. Where climbing
plants and vines must be detached from the buildings or trellises
removed, damage may be unavoidable. Plants that are too close
to the building to allow proper sandbagging of the tarps may
be damaged. We can assume NO responsibility for damage resulting
from these conditions.
IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY
ALL PERSONS AND ANIMALS MUST VACATE
THE PREMISES ON OR BEFORE ARRIVAL OF THE FUMIGATION CREW.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ANYONE ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL
THE FUMIGATION COMPANY'S NOTICE IS POSTED GIVING THE TIME
AND DATE FOR SAFE RE-ENTRY. FUMIGATION CANNOT COMMENCE WITHOUT
THIS SIGNED NOTICE IN FUMIGATOR'S POSSESSION.
